Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.58%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.58% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 2.82% or 3.05 points to trade at 111.25 at the close. Meanwhile, NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 2.62% or 1.10 points to end at 41.10 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.96% or 28.50 points to 1,480.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which fell 1.11% or 2.40 points to trade at 214.10 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 0.88% or 0.05 points to end at 5.29 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 0.77% or 1.80 points to 232.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 403 to 350 and 77 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.41% or 1.11 to $77.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.24% or 1.02 to hit $81.01 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 36.94 to trade at $2,754.74 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was unchanged 0.03% to 11.48, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 11.15.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 108.82.
