Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.01%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.01%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA), which rose 1.88% or 320.00 points to trade at 17,300.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) added 1.29% or 180.00 points to end at 14,180.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC) was up 1.14% or 440.00 points to 39,060.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Promigas (BVC:PMG), which fell 4.41% or 350.00 points to trade at 7,580.00 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) declined 2.80% or 13.00 points to end at 452.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) was down 2.40% or 300.00 points to 12,200.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC:ARG_p) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.29% or 180.00 to 14,180.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.08% or 0.27 to $326.15 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.02% or 94.00 to hit $9,142.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 3.00 to trade at $2,661.80 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.77% to 4,418.15, while BRL/COP fell 0.63% to 734.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.13.
