Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.23%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.23%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which rose 6.12% or 5,020.00 points to trade at 87,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 5.98% or 700.00 points to end at 12,400.00 and Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA) was up 2.67% or 1,680.00 points to 64,500.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bancolombia SA (BVC:BIC), which fell 1.62% or 620.00 points to trade at 37,720.00 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC) declined 1.52% or 150.00 points to end at 9,700.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA) was down 1.50% or 260.00 points to 17,040.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH) rose to all time highs; rising 6.12% or 5,020.00 to 87,000.00. Shares in Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) rose to all time highs; up 5.98% or 700.00 to 12,400.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.62% or 1.95 to $318.40 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 5.02% or 525.00 to hit $10,978.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 19.15 to trade at $2,691.55 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.09% to 4,329.75, while BRL/COP rose 1.28% to 717.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 109.00.
